Summer for sure! While I was away on vacation, Gail once again took the lead and kept the Green Chillis busy harvesting squash, carrots, kohlrabi, and peppers; weeding; harvesting radish seed; and eating parsley buttered potatoes (made from our own taters and parsley, of course!), and cutting back overgrown plants that had gone to seed. Some of the kids were also on vacation during the later part of the month, but we continued harvesting stuff and bringing it to the food pantry.
We continued to water, mulch, and harvest, we were rewarded for our work with delicious produce, including melons and sweet potato squash.
