Brassica boulevard is thriving! This morning we picked a whole tub of greens to share with the community. After doing a bit of weeding, planting a few seeds, and cutting a bouquet for the front desk, we also enjoyed cooking some up kale and mustard greens (super simple recipe below!)
And there were flowers!
And a bug! (Apparently, a red milkweed beetle.)
Super Quick and Easy Kale -- Green Chillis style!
Smash & chop/mince: garlic and/or garlic scapes (as much as you like)
Chop coarsely: a big bunch of kale, or whatever greens you have on hand (it will cook down significantly)
In large pan over medium high heat: 1-2 Tbsp oil
Add garlic, and sauté until soft and aromatic.
Add kale, toss/stir until wilted and bright green.
Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy!
